Queen of the RS 11s |
Description: |
The D&H lighning stripe scheme is well loved by fans, but perhaps the most elegant paint job was on RS 11 5002, which had a script "Delaware & Hudson" spelled out below the road number. When the paint was fresh and clean, it looked really good. In its later years, it became something of a hangar queen, spending more time at the shop than working the yard. I caught it this day outside the shop, once again out of service. |

Binghamton engine house |
Description: |
The Binghamton shop was always a place to find interesting power. This day in September 1989 is no different. One of the more distinctive units on the roster is on display. This engine is pictured in the Second Diesel Spotters Guide. |
