Four axle power |
Description: |
Most of the through freights I saw this day had six axle power. One that didn't was this one, which came south with four 4 axle units. Interestingly for you numbercrunchers, the two units to the right had opposing numbers. Note GP 30, number 2625, and ahead of it, GP 35 2526. A GE rounds out the shot. |

Left on the main |
Description: |
Two uaits work their set off into Pomona Yard as their train waits on the main. The Amtrak station at that time was at the yard office, with e small ticket window and waiting room. I got there around 1 PM that day, waiting for the northbound Crescent, which would arrive around 3:30 AM. I had a front row seat for hours of action ap trains stopped to make ~et offs and pick ups, and the yard engines did their thing in between. It was a great place to see the action. |
