Title:
Coming in for a change
Description:
LIRR 103 ran the west end of the trip due to all the industrial trackage. The trip info promised a surprise, which turned out to be a pair of blue and yellow painted C 420s, with an FA coupled to their east end. The FA didnt add anything in the way of tractive effort, and its 244 engine had been removed, but it looked good. The engine change will take place just ahead, and the train will head to the Hempstead Branch and Mitchell Field.
