From odd places. The leader is an ex Southern SD 40-2, still at it after all these years, and still with the high short hood that was the hallmark of Southern, and merger partner NW. The UP units were a surprise, since by this time, bigger power was standard, and many of the 40 line units were on locals or yard duty. But, 12T was an unusual train, and anything could show up. |
