All quiet
Title:  All quiet
Description:  The Q train has dimmed his headlights and is settled in for a wait while the southbound grain train I saw earlier resolves a problem with one of the units on his DPU, which will involve swapping it with a northbound empty coal train at Watts. The Q train will meed the coal train at Siloam, but not til after dark. So its back home for me.

Right moment
Title:  Right moment
Description:  Sometimes the railfan gods smile on you, and youre just in the right place at the right time. I was on my way home from local grocery Harps, when I saw the signal was lit for a southbound at CP South Siloam Springs as I crossed the tracks at Kenwood St. I quickly looped around and set up on the US 412 overpass, just in time to catch this southbound M train coming into view.

Rolling past
Title:  Rolling past
Description:  After getting the shot of the leader going past the signals, I ran to get it meeting the power on the Q train. He was a bit faster than me, and I didnt get the power passing power shot I wanted. This is still a pretty good action shot, though, of the Q train conductor giving the northbound a roll by.

Got lucky one day in a row
Title:  Got lucky one day in a row
Description:  When we passed signal 238-2, south of Watts, it was showing approach, meaning the H train would take the siding at Watts. I initially thought theyd be working there(they would). As we came around the curve into Watts, we got a surprise, this southbound grain train waiting on the main for the H train to clear. The crew is out, rolling the H train by as he goes into the siding.

Title:  S curve
Description:  The grain train rolls through the S curve at Chewie Road, to the chagrin of a local motorist who didnt expect a train, judging by the hard stop as he pulled up to the tracks.
