Class unit |
Description: |
KCS has taken delivery of a group of ET 44 AHs, of which this is the first. Theyve been on the roster several months, but my schedule hasnt allowed me to get out and chase much, so this is the first one Ive caught on film, or, electrons. Figures it would be almost in the dark. Its trailing on the northbound H train at Watts. |

Not quite |
Description: |
I was heading down US 59 one afternoon, not chasing, and caught up to this southbound H train. I wasnt quite close enough to beat it to Westville to set up, but was able to get this grab shot of ET44AH class unit 5000 as it hit the crossing. Sometimes you have to take what you can get. |

Going away |
Description: |
The sun was not in my favor for this northbound empty grain train, but the light was good for the going away shot, at the Ark 59S crossing north of downtown. |

Easing past |
Description: |
The 262 eases past 261s DPU as it reaches the switch for the south end of the siding, the ET44AC class unit leading. The two covered hoppers at right are in the siding for Pipelife Jetstream, which receives covered hoppers of plastic pellets to make PVC pipe. |

Rolling by |
Description: |
The 262 now is about on the crossing at Lake Frances, and we see what is an unusual consist for a road train, a CP GP ECO and a KCD GP 40-3 trailing the leader. Maybe this is local power to be dropped somewhere?? I cant recall the last time I saw four motor power on a road train on the KCS. |
