Wheres the Century?? |
Description: |
This classic view from track level of the Board of Trade was a hallmark of La Salle St. Somehow, it loses its grandeur with a group of RTA F 40s, especially to those more accustomed to seeing NYC and Rock Es, and NKP PAs. |

New power, same old bilevels |
Description: |
The Rock bilevels were a fixture here, though the day I was there, I saw a lot of stainless cars. Where once these cars would have gone out behind one of the Rock Islands venerable E units, the newly created RTA, seeing the decrepitude of that fleet, has assigned the first set of F 40s. |

Fresh faces |
Description: |
The Rock had by far the most unreliable diesel fleet, so when the RTA was created, the first road to get new power was the Rock. Three of the new F 40s are at La Salle St waiting for the afternoon rush. |
