Going downtown
Description:
A westbound CR train has cut off its train at BD, and is taking the power, a pair of SD 40s and a GP 38, down to QD to work the Erie yard. This was my first visit to Binghamton, and I was not familiar with the symbols then; there were several trains that ran the line from Jersey to points test. A few years later, that would be trimmed to two, OIEL and OIBU. I would guess this would be OIBU, or something similar, as it showed in the afternoon, which was its usual time slot.

Snowy paradise
Description:
Well, maybe not paradise. But it does make for a good photo. TV 301 with 160 platforms of APL containers approaches the PA 191 bridge in Great Bend, a short ride up the river remaining to Binghamton.

CGAL on the Tier
Description:
CGAL, the Corning-Allentown train that ran the ex LV to Allentown, accessed the Lehigh Line via a connection from the ex EL at Waverly. It has just gotten its clearance onto the Lehigh and is starting past the semaphore, and will shortly take the switch at block station WAVE to head for Sayre and then on to Allentown.
