Longest train
Title:  Longest train
Description:  I caught this train working hard as it crossed Lake Frances Rd, and bolted for the empty lot between the Lincoln Av and Tahlequah St crossings. A few minutes later, he showed with three six axles and a switcher(in tow, I think), still moving slowly. As I usually do, I started counting cars. The final total was 210, the longest merchandise train Ive ever seen. Ive seen longer coal trains on NS in Virginia, and longer stack trains on Conrail and BNSF, but never a mixed freight of this size. The longest I can recall is 190 cars on Conrail between Buffalo and Erie. In a testament to the pulling power of AC units, this train had three six axles up front, and an ET44AH 125 cars in.

Passing through
Title:  Passing through
Description:  Its rare to see an end cab switcher here, since there is nothing for them to do between Shreveport and Kansas City. Occasionally one will show up in tow, as this unit is. The SWs look attractive in the Belle scheme.
