Title: |
Second life for a leaser |
Description: |
In the late 1980s, power by the hour was the big new thing, with GE and EMD both maintaining fleets of that nature, both going to work on BN. The GE fleet had LMX reporting marks, with the units numbered in the 8500 series. After they came off lease, the fleet scattered, and the engines were found all over, among other places, on the KCS, and here on a New Mexico short line. This one is at Hobbs. |
