Not quite what I was after |

This southbound UP train has a single unit leading as it passes the Choteau elevator. I like lineside structures, and was trying to work a shot with the elevator in it, but didnt have time to change lenses after outrunning the train from Adair. It turned out the elevator was partly blocked by some trees, and I didnt quite pick the right spot either, through this shot is acceptable. Better luck next time. I'll drag my butt out of bed early some morning and go over here to sit til something shows, which usually doesn't take too long. |

| Description: |
I went back up to the north end of the siding, thinking the coal train would be underway momentarily, only to find the conductor cutting the train at the SR 51 crossing. Thats not good. Theyll be stuck here a while. Another promising chase thwarted by an outlawing crew. Not so fast. As I was heading up to the north end of town to consider my options, I saw a headlight in the distance. It turned out to be this southbound grain move, led by a pair of UP units. |

Though not the way youd expect. The grain train makes its way south on the main, while the coal train, which had cut at the crossing, now backs down to reconnect. Both sets of power moving the same direction. Not your typical meet. |
