Coal trains to AES Milliken Station north of Ithaca on the ex LV followed Conrails pattern in the NS era, running off the Southern Tier at Waverly onto the connection the the ex LV at Sayre, running the power around the train, then going north. Here we see a train that has just had the power cut off to change ends. Note the number boards on the lead unit, an ex LMS lease unit, with their CNJ typeface. |
