I heard this northbound calling signals as it approached Stilwell, and was able to get to the station to catch it passing in a going away shot. The actual meet was on the other end of the building. Would have been a nice catch, but these things are hard to predict at times. A battered KCSM GE trails. |

| Description: |
Usually, the trees near a river or lake hold their leaves longer than elsewhere, due to the proximity of a good water source. Not here, apprently. Must be a northeast thing. The northbound 181 rolls its 27 autos, one of them articulated, and 82 grain hoppers north across the Illinois River. |

I was afraid this view from the Ark 59 overpass would have no color in it whatsoever., but was pleasantly surprised to find there was still a little bit left, and enough light to make for a passably decent photo. Hes stop just north of here, depriving me of a shot near Noel along the creek there. |
