| We stopped in Barstow at a place called Barstow Station. Its not the Casa Del Desierto, the old Harvey House, by any means. Its a gas station/bus station with some fast food and a lot of kitschy shops, and is on the opposite side of the yard from the Harvey House. The up side is that the trains go right past, and are lit most of the day, though not on this gloomy Sunday. This eastbound came by as we were getting ready to leave for LA. The only reason I got a good shot of this is because we had not started moving yet. Note the reflection from the windows. |
