Dogs breakfast  Contributor's Pick!
I often used this term referring to some of the unmatched consists on the D&H, especially in the Guilford era, when the power almost never matched-not that the D&H was known for having any two units in a consist match. The A&M usually put together a good looking consist-not that it was essential to operations, but it did put a good image out to anyone seeing one of their trains. The SD 70s sported a new scheme when they came on line. It looks like A&M 71 is awaiting a date in the paint booth, as it appears to be in primer here. Undecorated units run just as well as nicely painted ones!!
