Dark side  Contributor's Pick!
I had shot the grain train at Gravette as he was topping the grade from Sulphur Springs. I knew it would be a crap shoot, but I went to try the shot at Wolf Creek, just north of Dorsey. I almost made it. The train was approaching the crossing as I pulled up. The dark side view accentuates the sun on the nose of the lead unit. NOTE!!!! This crossing has only crossbucks, no gates or flashers. This is why you ALWAYS stop at such crossings, especially when your sight lines are impaired, such as they are here. If I had not stopped-and I knew there was a train-it would have killed the chase, and maybe me, too. Safety is important. Its what allows you to live to see another day.
