This is the front and back of the tickets issued by trainmen aboard trains in the 1970s and 80s. The front has a wide range of punch spaces to indicate origin and destination, date, fare collected, etc. The reverse has a zone map of the LIRR. At the time I got this, the penalty fare was 25 cents for tickets bought on a train where the ticket office was open at departure time. There was no penalty for a non agency station of if the office was closed. |
