Getting ready to head back  Contributor's Pick!
NJT 4110, an ex CNJ unit, has run around its train at Phillipsburg and is about to couple up and head back to Newark. The CNJ main, now the Raritan Line, had a mid day run to the end of the line in Philipsburg. Most of the outlying areas were served by trains that were geared to a NY commuter, so it was difficult at best to ride some of them from the New York end, as I was doing most of the time-and why I still have not gotten the miles on the Pascack Valley Line. This line was the exception, and I was able to ride it before it was cut west of High Bridge in the mid 1980's.
